Cobram Estate is one of Australia's biggest producers of olive oil, and is located in the Upper Murray region of Victoria.
Surrounded by an ancient forest of red gums, the rows of olive trees thrive in deep, red soil. Cool, sunny winters and long, hot summers under the Australian sun allow the olives to ripen perfectly, creating the freshest extra virgin olive oils bursting with fruity aromas and penetrating flavours.
The Cobram Estate olive grove was established in 1996 with 25,000 trees of Italian, Spanish and Israeli origin including Frantoio, Correggiola, Nevadillo Blanco, Leccino, Manzanillo, Koroneiki and Arbequina. These varieties were specifically chosen for their fine oil quality.
Cobram Estate is now owned by Boundary Bend, which also produces olives in Boort, Victoria. Boort Estate is one of the world's largest single estate olive groves located 120km northwest of Bendigo in Victoria.
They produce a gourmet range of olive oils including Cobram Estate première, picual, arbequina, citron, hojiblanca and rouge red wine vinegar, which can be found in gourmet food stores and delicatessens, and a supermarket range.
