The use of native Italian varieties such as Barbera and Sangiovese are particularly interesting, and the styles of the cabernets are fine, elegant and very well structured. 'Dal Zotto Estate captures the hospitable feel of the King Valley's family owned wineries perfectly. The no-fuss, tin-shed architecture of the winery has a friendly cellar door looking across vine and mountain, with the music of carolling magpies never far away. The Dal Zotto Trattoria serves a seasonal menu of regional specialities with wines at very reasonable cellar door prices.
