Terra Australis is one of Australia's premier cycling events. The event is an epic journey through Victoria's High Country starting at Falls Creek and travelling through Mt Beauty, Dinner Plain, Bright and concluding in Beechworth. Taking in the mountains, valleys, rivers and vineyards, it is truly spectacular. Competitors will get the opportunity to see what this unique landscape has got hidden in its many valleys. Summer in high country is amazing, with a wide array of wildflowers creating a carpet of colour. The high country cattlemen's huts are an intriguing connection to the European settlement of this region.
North East Victoria is also renowned for its gourmet food and wine. The course also weaves its way through some of Australia's premier wine producing regions. The historic villages of Bright and Beechworth are spectacular due to their construction during the pioneering gold mining days of the 1850-60's.
Grab a mountain bike (and a partner) and come and enjoy a challenging, but highly rewarding week in Victoria's High Country.
