Boynton's (formerly Boynton's of Bright Winery) was established in 1989 by Kel Boynton and is today still a family owned business. It is located in Porpunkah, in the Alpine Valleys wine region of Victoria's Legends, Wine and High Country.
Like all great success stories, the story of the birth of Boynton's winery is filled with passion, adventure, disappointment and fear but above all strength, determination and an individuals belief in his dream despite the odds.
Feathertop wines captures the essences of nature and the beauty and crispness of the Alpine Valleys which surround the winery. The Feathertop label is seen to reflect a close tie into the environment that defines the wines. Feathertop represents Feathertop Mountain which is the commanding feature in the region, Alpine Valleys. The mountain not only visually shelters the valley and influences the air currents, but it has defined the soil structure in which Boynton's grow their grapes, as well as, providing fresh Alpine spring water that flows and nourishes the vines. These environmental conditions are integral in the process of Boynton's Feathertop wines.
