Located in the Milawa Cheese Factory, just outside Milawa in the King Valley, inn North East Victria,s Legends, Wine & High Country, Wood Park Wines produce excellent pinot gris, shiraz and chardonnay.
When you visit taste the cheese next door, stroll into the cellar door, grab an ice cream, wander at leisure through the art gallery and through the hand-crafted furniture workshop, then settle back in the restaurant for a coffee.
John Stokes, Wood Park's owner and wine maker established his winery and vineyards in the King Valley in 1989. At that time the property was a run down grazing farm.
Driven by a passion for the environment John has reinvigorated Wood Park through a mix of re-afforestation, erosion control and improved biodiversity. As a result many birds have flocked back to the farm, among them several families of White-browed Babblers who entertain with amusing antics.
