Woodeneye Estate and Galsson Family Vineyards are located in the Murray Darling wine area of North West Victoria. A new winery and cellar door opened in 2007 on site.
In 1990 Steve and Debi Glasson established the Glasson Family Vineyards at Irymple situated in the heart of the Mildura region.
They planted Chardonnay, Cabernet, Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot with replanting completed by 1998 with only an acre and a half remaining of the 65 year old original Grenache plantings.
2003 saw the first vintage of the Wooden Eye Estate Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon produced from low yielding, high quality grapes grown exclusively on the Glasson Family vineyards.
The winery is a highly successful marriage of modern technology and traditional methods using world-renowned Australian wine making techniques.
Their wine has been carefully crafted, with hand plunging during fermentation and traditional basket pressing before going into new oak baroques for maturation.
