Looking for a relaxed rural setting for you to sit and enjoy a glass of wine, a cheese platter and Gourmet Wood-fired Pizza? Somewhere that suits you and the children? Watchbox Winery and Cafe is located in the picturesque Indigo Valley.
The Wool shed inspired Cellar door/Cafe building was built on the edge of the almond grove, providing a beautiful outdoor area to sit among the trees while the open area provides room for the children to kick a footy or just run around.
The vineyard was established in 1997 with the first vintage in 2001. The cellar door provides a wide range of wines from a semi-sweet Moscato and creamy light oaked Chardonnay to traditional Sangiovese and full bodied Shiraz, not to forget the fortified Watchbox's own Indigo Gold.
12 wines are on offer at Watchbox Cellar door; Moscato, Sauvingnon Blanc, Riesling-Arneis, Chardonnay, Snagiovese, Cabernet Merlot, Merlot, Shiraz, Cleanskin Durif, Durif Vintage Port and Indigo Gold.
The Watchbox Cafe specialises in Gourmet Wood-Fired Pizzas. The first pizza was served back in 2003 for the Walkabout weekend and has been popular ever since. The Pizzas:the popular Antipasto pizza, a chicken, a red meat, vegetarian and ham and cheese. Any of these pizzas are available on a gluten free base. Most toppings are gluten-free, and the cafe staff are able to assist you with your dietary requirements.
The Wood-Fired oven is also used during functions to slow cook Roasts and vegetables, whether that be for a Wedding, Birthday, Family Reunion or Christmas party. The indoor area holds 40-60 people and outside area holds up to 100 people undercover and 120+ under the almond grove.
No matter what you are looking for in a venue, Watchbox really does tick all the boxes.
