Newtons Ridge Vineyard, (aka Heytesbury Ridge Vineyard), just off Victoria's Great Ocean Road, in the Otways Ranges, minutes inland from the Twelve Apostles and Port Campbell offers a tranquil setting of a 10 acre vineyard.
Newtons Ridge vineyard produces the Heytesbury Ridge wine brand; the wines are well regarded, showing the characteristics of grapes grown in cool climates with long ripening periods. Newtons Ridge wines have intense fruit flavours, and are soft on the palate with lingering, clean finishes.
Newtons Ridge has a cellar door facility and offers friendly, informative wine tastings. You may wish to stay on after your tasting, and experience the traditionally hosted, luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation - Heytesbury Ridge, and then move along the wine trail and explore the Shipwreck Coast, the Otways and Hinterland around Camperdown - and of course more wine.
Newtons Ridge 2006 Pinot Noir has been awarded a Gold Medal at the prestigious 2008 Cowra Wine Show.
