As you travel the Maroondah Hwy, Helen’s Hill is a wonderful spot to begin or end your Yarra Valley adventures. A 100 per cent family owned and run estate, the Nalder family and their talented winemaker Scott McCarthy have been producing some great wines under the Helen’s Hill and Ingram Road labels since 1997.
Nestled amongst the gum trees, enjoy a platter and glass of wine or two on the deck or grab a spot on the lawn under the eucalypts. In the cooler months, the roaring fire will be going strong in cellar door.
The separately owned and run but equally delicious Vines Restaurant is onsite also.

Elmswood Estate

For a boutique experience a little off the beaten track, we suggest Elmswood Estate situated in a picturesque pocket of Wandin East. Here you’ll enjoy the sweeping views (with glass in hand of course), from one of the highest points in the Valley.

Long before farmers’ markets became the fashionable institutions they are today, there was the Yarra Valley Regional Farmers’ Market.
Held at the elegant Yering Station on the third Sunday of each month, the market presents you with an ideal opportunity to meet a number of the regions’ growers, producers and makers all at once – and taste the fruits of their labour of course!

Established over 30 years ago, Oakridge Wines is the recent winner of not one but three trophies at the 2010 Yarra Valley Wine Show. Situated amongst 10 hectares of landscaped vines and gardens, Oakridge is a picturesque place to visit.

Brammar Estate

Not 10 minutes away you’ll find yourself at Brammar Estate, a boutique traditional winery established by Ian and Wendy Brammar. Here all grapes are grown on the property, hand harvested and then pressed using a traditional basket press. The wines are then made with a minimum of processing and additions.
With much of the land devoted to ‘land for wildlife’ after being ravaged by the 2009 fires. much work is being undertaken by the Brammars to re-vegetate the property.
