For the past century Healesville has been known as the 'heart of the Yarra Valley'. Heart gallery, Healesville Art Alliance has combined the talent of a group of the regions artists and artisans. This concept gallery promises to become a force in the Yarra Valley Art community as it grows and establishes. Artists looking for a home for their unique artwork are welcome to approach the gallery.
Heart Gallery inaugural exhibition, "Heart and Soul" opens in April.
"Heart and Soul" will bring to visitors and art lovers alike, a diverse and in depth display of traditional, contemporary and modern artworks, inspired by the beautiful and colourful Yarra Valley.
Subject matter will be as varied as the region and its people.
"Heart and Soul" will feature modern and representational paintings by Christine Cafarella-Pearce, Karen Neal, Gayle Burgess, Phyll Darson, Pamela Gaordon,Lia Williams Lorraine Cafarella and Jan Cummings. There will also be photographs by John Cafarella, showing off the unsurpassed beauty of the region's landscape, the festivals, markets, music, flowers, animals and much more.
Ceramics by Laura Windmill, Rachael Sheppards distinctive mosaics, sculpture by Judy Newman, textiles by Gabriele Pelling, Yve Hart and Carolyn Rogers. Alana Jones artistic jewellery and Joel Schagen's deco inspired silver jewellery reflect Australia's lifestyle, colour, atmosphere and multicultural influences.
