Pottery Expo @ Warrandyte is an annual event held in the last weekend of February on the banks of the beautiful Yarra River in the heart of Warrandyte Village, just 30 minutes by car north east of Melbourne.
Each year Pottery Expo @ Warrandyte has a different theme, the 2013 is yet to be announced, but it showcase the artistic prowess of potters from Victoria and further afield, more details will be provided as it comes to hand.
The weekend is also a chance to meet and see the work of not only local potters but also those from around Victoria and interstate. Pottery Expo is based on the concept of the Marché de Potiers [Potters Markets] of France.
Some additional feature attractions include 40 of Victoria's finest ceramic artists presenting their work for sale. Meet the artists and be captivated by their work. Activities and demonstrations throughout the two days such as throwing, decorating, sculpting and hand-building. TAFE ceramics courses represented by students and lecturers. Ceramic products and information available (books, clay, tools). Food, drink and entertainment.
