Wadjekanup River Estate is owned and managed by the Witham family as part of a diverse farming operation, including Wool, Prime Lambs, Cattle, Grain and Yabbies. Planted in 1995 to Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc , the vineyard now has 20 acres under vines with 2 acres of Merlot planted in 1998 - the 3 favourite wines of the owners.
Great flavours are being produced due to the unique inland climate of Broomehill. The vineyard is planted on Marri type soils and has a northerly aspect at an elevation of 360m above sea level, and combines with the sunny days and cool nights to produce a unique wine. The vineyard is situated on the same latitude as Margaret River.
