It was once a Cable Station which served the telephone cable from Broome to Perth and northwards through a submarine cable to Banji Wangi in the Dutch East Indies.
Venture down to the Courthouse Markets every Saturday morning (and Sundays during the peak season) to view unique local art, stunning jewellery, and an eclectic range of souvenirs. Sample the fusion of Broome's multicultural cuisine with delights such as frozen mangos, Thai fish cakes, fresh coffee and curries.
Just a short stroll from China Town in the heart of Broome, a visit to the old courthouse is an iconic Broome experience. Broome is a two and a half hour flight north of Perth.
