The 5 ha Hainault vineyard, located 25 km east of Perth, in the Perth Hills wine region of Western Australia's Greater Pert area, at 400 m elevation, is the highest vineyard in the State and nestles in forest in one of the coldest parts of the State, atop the darling scarp.
It was originally selected as Gungin orchard early last century and was replanted as a vineyard in 1978 by Peter Fimmel, one of the pioneers of the infant Perth Hills Wine Region.
