Windrush Wines and The Vineyard Cafe - producing premium cool-climate wines at Mount Barker, in the Great Southern Wine Region of Western Australia.
High on a hill with spectacular views over vines and valleys, Windrush offers friendly cellar sales and a wonderful restaurant. Enjoy exquisite gourmet lunches while taking in the views from their hill-top facility.
The winery is set in beautiful gardens, and guests always enjoy the gazebo and full-size boules (bocce) court- a lovely way to spend the day.
The Windrush wine range has classic varieties such as chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz, as well as styles such as rose and our unique 'cabernet blanc'. Many of their wines are multiple medal-winners, and all are made from their estate-grown grapes. Delicious premium wine from this classic cool climate region.
They follow many 'organic' practices and use no pesticides- instead they have over 100 Guinea Fowl to devour the vineyard bugs.
The Cafe menu contains delicious choices of both entree and mains and they cater for many dietary needs such as gluten free, vegetarian, and low GI. Our famous 'Cake Board' also offers an irresistable dessert selection.
Only 8Km from Mount Barker town, why not come out to Windrush to experience the best of food, wine and service. Open Friday to Sunday (and most public holidays) 10am to 4pm. Bookings recommended.
