Sunsmart Ironman Western Australia Triathlon allows spectators to watch as elite Ironman competitors trudge through a 3.8 kilometre swim adjacent to Western Australia's iconic Busselton Jetty; 180 kilometre bike course and a 42.2 kilometre run.
This event is now part of the world-wide family of Ironman distance races which attract more than 30,000 athletes to attempt to qualify for the Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Hawaii. The Ironman triathlon will allow competitors and spectators to experience the excitement and athleticism of a world class sporting event in one of the state's premier seaside resort towns.
Spectators will have the opportunity to view the excitement from a multitude of viewing stations, set up along the competitor's course.
