For the more adventurous, visitors to the region can't go past exploring mainland Australia's tallest lighthouse, the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, Augusta. Visit the dramatic meeting point of the Indian and Southern oceans whilst hearing tales of shipwrecks, whales and discovery. The Margaret River region also boasts an ancient wonderland of caves, namely Jewel, Mammoth and Lake, all based along the Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge. Explore Mammoth at your own pace, take a guided tour of Jewel and witness the spectacular “suspended table” at Lake. These caves truy are impressive time capsules and windows into an ancient past.
