The Margaret River Wine Region is truly one of the great holiday destinations of the world. Blessed with a perfect Mediterranean maritime climate, the four seasons are gently defined in the soulful corner of Western Australia.

There's perhaps no better destination to kick back and unwind whilst surrounded by nature, beautiful vineyards and glorious coastline, including some of WA's best surf and beaches as well as the opportunity to explore and taste some of the region's top produce from award winning wines to gourmet food. Lucky visitors can lose themselves in the ultimate getaway, completely refreshing the body and soul. With a stunning array of accommodation and tour options available, the Margaret River region offers something for every traveller.

The first place to stop is the award winning Margaret River Visitor Centre – recently named as the winner of the 2008 Australian Tourism Award for Visitor Information and Services. Our friendly visitor centre staff will help you to decide the best places to stay, visit and experience while you are here.

For those on a wine journey, there is no better place to start than the Margaret River Visitor Centre's Wine Tourism Showroom. Visitors will be treated to interactive and informative displays on everything wine-related! Sample, smell and read about grape growing and wine making, not to mention indulging in our regular wine tastings in the centre.

For the more adventurous, visitors to the region can't go past exploring mainland Australia's tallest lighthouse, the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, Augusta. Visit the dramatic meeting point of the Indian and Southern oceans whilst hearing tales of shipwrecks, whales and discovery. The Margaret River region also boasts an ancient wonderland of caves, namely Jewel, Mammoth and Lake, all based along the Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge. Explore Mammoth at your own pace, take a guided tour of Jewel and witness the spectacular “suspended table” at Lake. These caves truy are impressive time capsules and windows into an ancient past.

Be sure to visit www.margaretriver.com for all your accommodation and tour booking needs. The easiest way to plan your next escape!

Open seven days a week from 9am - 5pm.
