Abbey Creek Vineyard is located in the Perth Hills wine region, and operated by Michael and Mary Dilworth. Wines are all made by Robert Diletti at Castle Rock Estate.
It is a small (~2 ha) vineyard situated on the northern slopes of the Porongurup Range looking across to the magnificent Stirling Range. The climate is cool temperate, with a cold, wet (~ 800 mm) winter and a cool summer ideal for ripening cool climate grape varieties.
The first vines (Pinot Noir and Riesling) were planted in 1990, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in 1993 and the Sauvignon Blanc in 2006. The Abbey Creek label was launched in 2002.
