Wills Domain is located in Yallingup, in the Margaret River wine region of Western Australia South West Coast. Restaurant on site.
The Haunold Family has a wine making past that is steeped in 15th Century European history and tradition.
In 1383, with the permission of the Grand Duke Albrecht 3rd, Ulrich (the first recorded Haunold winemaker) was presented with a vineyard and built his castle after being bestowed with Land and Titles for Viticultural Excellence. On this estate he developed a "brewery" for the production of wine and also offered game hunting and fishing until 1725. The ruins of the domain can still be viewed today at Falkenstein (40km from Vienna).
The tradition of Viticultural Excellence is upheld today by Wills Domain which is now producing wines from the South West corner of Australia. This new chapter in winemaking is reflected in our current vintage releases, dedicated to the future generations of our winemaking family.
The cellar door now includes a stylish restaurant that serves casual food including tasting plates.
