Clairy Browne and The Bangin' Rackettes will make their Festival Gardens debut in Seasick Steve's place as part of the Perth International Arts Festival. The hollers, growls and whisky-drenched tones of Clairy Browne and The Bangin' Rackettes lure you back to sixties Motown, where the dirty soul sounds of smoky vocals, feverish harmonies and gritty dancehall blues get you shaking and grinding.
This nine piece rhythm and blues big band from Melbourne, take you from northern soul, jump blues, doo-wop, gospel to ska, with influences ranging from Etta James and Prince to Arquettes and Salt n' Pepa.
