The combination of the wordsmithery and wildness of rock and roll gentleman Tim Rogers out the front, the rumbling and effortlessly cool bass of Andy Kent, the king of beat-rock drums Russell Hopkinson and the scorching guitar of Davey Lane make music like no other.
They are nine albums into their career with a back catalogue so strong and so full of cool memories it's hard to take it all in at once.
However, it's when they get in the bus and turn on the amps and pull the nuggets from this body of work that YOU AM I are at their best.
They are back in Perth…and about time too.
