Founded in 1840, Sandalford Wines – Swan Valley is one of Australia's oldest, lagest and most prestigious privately owned wineries.
Sandalford is well known for its award-winning Margaret River wines but also as being a premier tourist attraction located just 20 minutes from Perth city, in the heart of the Swan Valley.
Sandalford has gained a strong reputation in wine tourism, earning the 2005 Sir David Brand Award at the West Australian Tourism Awards in 2005 and being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006.
Sandalford boasts numerous facilities including an award-winning a la carte restaurant that showcases alfresco dining under 160-year old vines, a number of stylish wedding and function facilities, outdoor concerts, festivals and events, Perth's first luxury river cruiser the Miss Sandalford, wine appreciation and blending classes and our cellar door offering wine tasting and sales, giftware and branded merchandise.
Guests can participate in a range of tours including the Sandalford Experience (AUD24.00) a one hour and 15 minute tour of the winery followed with wine appreciation to learn how to assess wine through colour, nose and palate or for a more immersed insight into the wine-making process, Sandalford's Winemaker for a Day Course, AUD125.00, bookings essential.
