Throwing of the Grape Harvest Festival, Middle Swan, Western Australia [©Professional Misconduct]

The second annual ‘Throwing of the Grape' is a food, wine and music festival to celebrate the first wine harvest at Oakover Winery for the year.
You've heard of ‘La Tomatina' in Spain where the streets are filled with over-ripened tomatoes… well this is the West Australian version (with grapes).
They're talking wine tasting, grape stomping, live music, DJs and of course grape throwing.
All the Grape Throwing will take place in a dedicated fenced-off area, so it's up to you if you'd like to join in the fun – you won't get grapes thrown on you if you don't want to.
