Bream Creek wins Sauvignon Blanc Trophy at 2011 Australian Boutique Wine Awards
Media release
It was announced on Friday 29th July at the Australian Boutique Wine Awards dinner that the 2010 Bream Creek Sauvignon Blanc was awarded best Sauvignon Blanc in show .
Beating all-comers from both Australia and New Zealand and following on from the 2008 Bream Creek Sauvignon Blanc being awarded the trophy for “Best Sauvignon Blanc” at the 2008 Royal Hobart Wine Show from a wide field of both Australian and New Zealand entries, this recent trophy is further proof that Tasmania can challenge the domination of New Zealand in the Sauvignon Blanc category.
It’s also a further well deserved accolade for the wines being produced under the Bream Creek label in Tasmania’s south east, after both the 2008 and 2006 Bream Creek Sauvignon Blanc scored 94 points in James Halliday’s Wine Companion.
Regions
- East Coast and Tasman Peninsula (TAS)
- Southern Tasmania (TAS)
